Theodore smirked. It was the kind of self–satisfied grin that made it seem like he had just won some kind of twisted competition.
Harvey felt a lump in his throat. He refused to lose in this kind of face–off
Clearing his throat, he scoffed and fired back, “Pigmentation. Fabric friction. It’s normal for the color to darken.
“The fact that yours is still that pink is unnatural!“
The moment the words left his mouth, every single blood vessel in his brain threatened to burst.
He had fallen straight into Theodore’s trap. The bastard was leading him on–baiting him into this absurd argument
Harvey clenched his jaw, lifted his chin, and flung the phone back at Theodore. But Theodore didn’t catch it. The phone hit the floor and slid a few feet away.
Hah! Was he backing down?
A flash of cold light flickered in Harvey’s eyes.
He remembered the last time they clashed at the technological summit–when he punched Theodore so hard the man coughed up blood. Theodore had been utterly defenseless. He was as weak as a fragile little chick in front of
him.
Then came Theodore’s maddeningly smug voice.
“I’ve been taking meticulous care of them since seven years ago. Facts are facts–pink is what makes Elara’s heart
race.”
Harvey’s rage skyrocketed. “No matter how much effort you put in, you’re just all show! I gave her the ultimate experience–you think you can compare to me?”
Heat surged through his chest. His breath came out hot and heavy, like that of a wild beast ready to charge.
He knew that a man in his position–Fisher Corp’s heir–should always remain composed. He shouldn’t have let Theodore provoke him.
Yet, he couldn’t control himself. Was this just some territorial male instinct?
He wasn’t upset because of Elara–it had nothing to do with her. What truly infuriated him was Theodore’s blatant provocation, trampling over his pride as a man.
Theodore’s expression turned cold. His sharp, star–like eyes were now layered with a thin frost.
“If she doesn’t like what she gets from me, she’s free to find another man. But I’ll make sure Elara knows that others are just hotels, and I’m the one who feels like home
Harvey’s entire worldview shook–as violently as his pupils contracted. His fists clenched so tightly that veins bulged across the backs of his hands and forearmns.

Theodore knew the man was standing at the edge of absolute fury. He casually glanced at the phone lying on the floor, then smirked before reaching for the hand soap by the sink.
Harvey’s eyes tracked his every move. He half–expected Theodore to grab the soap dispenser and hurl it at his head.
Instead, Theodore unscrewed the cap, turned on the faucet and poured some water into the bottle before giving it a good shake. Harvey’s gaze darkened with suspicion, his gard rising further.
Then, Theodore dumped the soap all over himself without warning. The bottle clattered into the sink, where he rinsed it thoroughly. It was like he was washing away any trace of fingerprints.
Harvey stared at him, stunned. “What the hell are you doing?”
After soaking the front of his shirt, Theodore turned and strode toward the door. Then, he suddenly stumbled right at the restroom’s entrance.
Harvey watched–in slow motion–as the man tripped on absolutely nothing. The next second, Theodore crashed straight into Elara’s arms.
Elara had been waiting outside for too long.
Normally, she wouldn’t care how long a grown man spent in the restroom, but having raised kids, she was wired to be suspicious when someone disappeared in there for too long.
Every time she let her guard down, Beau would end up hiding in a bathroom stall, playing games.
If Theodore and Harvey had only gone in to relieve themselves, they should’ve been done by now. What, did they both get constipated at the same time?
Given Harvey’s history of punching Theodore in the face, unease grew in her chest. The longer she waited, the worse her gut feeling got–until she finally decided to check
Just as she reached the men’s restroom entrance, Theodore crashed right into her.
