Theodore turned his head away, as if unwilling to let Elarage him in such a pathetic state.
“What happened?” she asked urgently, noticing the slick liquid covering a large portion of Theodore’s clothes.
“What happened to your shirt?”
Theodore straightened up and put some distance between em. “It’s nothing, and it has nothing to do with Mr. Fisher. I believe he didn’t mean to bump into me.”
His voice carried a stubborn edge.
Elara instantly caught on. “Did Harvey push you?”
Theodore pressed his lips together and simply reassured her, “Elara, I’m really fine.”
“He even ruined your clothes, didn’t he?” Her tone became more certain
Theodore patted his pockets without explaining and added, “Stay here, and don’t come in. I need to grab my phone.”
Ignoring his words, Elara stepped into the men’s restroom and anger flared within her the moment she saw Harvey’s face. It shot up like flames, Instantly evaporating any rational thought.
“Harvey Fisher, are you out of your mind?” she screamed.
Harvey was stunned.
Then, he caught sight of Theodore’s smug, victorious, and infuriatingly obvious smirk from the comer of his eye.
Moving at an unhurried pace, Theodore bent down, picked up his phone, and tilted the screen slightly so Elara could see the visible cracks on it.
Harvey Immediately realized he had fallen into a trap!
Did Elara already imagine a scene where he had physically assaulted Theodore, shoved him, and even smashed his phone?
A rush of heat surged up his throat, leaving a metallic taste in his mouth. Then, Theodore lightly hooked his finger around Elara’s right in front of him.
“Let’s go. I think Mr. Fisher loses his temper the moment he sees us. There’s no need to argue with him,” Theodore said smoothly.
Harvey’s blood boiled. How dare this man hold his ex–wife’s hand so brazenly in front of him?
Π
“I didn’t push him! I didn’t break his phone! Elara, can’t you see he’s setting me up?” Harvey snapped, his voice laced with frustration..
“He poured the damn soap on himself! Do you really think d do something this childish?”
Elara’s gaze was devoid of warmth or emotion–just like the way Harvey used to look at her.
She spoke calmly, “It’s not like you haven’t pushed someone before.”
A memory hit Harvey–Elara, who was heavily pregnant, collapsing onto the floor.
“It’s not like you haven’t smashed things before.”

The year Dawn died was when Harvey was at his most unstable. After he had vented his fury, it was Elara, still carrying his child, who silently cleaned up the mess he left behind.
“Mr. Snapp is so innocent. Who else but you would bully him?”
Harvey felt his breathing become labored.
“Innocent? He’s the ultimate manipulator! He’s a cunning fox playing the long game, setting me up every chance he gets!”
“Elara, I don’t want to see you in conflict with Mr. Fisher because of me.”
Theodore’s voice carried a hint of vulnerability, his lips pressing into a soft, almost self–deprecating smile. Yet the corners of his eyes were tinged red, as if he had suffered in silence.
Hearing that tone and seeing Theodore’s “I can take this much” expression, Harvey felt like he was staring at a serpent coiling itself around Elara, wrapping her in its grasp.
“Why you fake little bitch!”
The last threads of Harvey’s self–restraint snapped. His carefully maintained composure–his dignified, rational facade–was gone. His fury erupted, and his voice was laced with expletives as his hair was practically standing on end
Elara took a step forward, shielding Theodore behind her. The way she looked at Harvey now held something more -disgust.
“Harvey, can you stop making a scene? You’re being petty and paranoid, and you’re always overreacting. What exactly did Theodore do to deserve this?”
