Finnegan had never realized just how miserable her marriage had been until Elara divorced Harvey and left with only Merida.
Elara flexed her hands, feeling the soreness in her wrists, while watching Finnegan land another punch on Harvey, Blood sprayed from Harvey’s mouth, splattering onto the pristine white wall, leaving a glaring crimson stain. Elara turned to Leonard. “Mr. Fisher, how did you find me
“You’re in Spring Garden. Harvey bought an apartment in the building next door directly across from your home.” Elara felt a wave of disgust. “When did he buy it?”
“Three days ago,” Leonard replied.
A bitter taste rose in her throat. Harvey must have gotten Dawn’s voice message from Niamh. He had done all of this deliberately to seek revenge.
Locking her up in Spring Garden allowed him to fabricate the illusion that she had never even left home.
If she hadn’t taken Finnegan’s bodyguards with her to The Mirage, she wouldn’t have been rescued in time. And once she was locked away, Harvey would have made his next move–going after Finnegan and taking Merida from him
Leonard’s brows furrowed slightly. “I’ve already called the police.”
At this point, he felt nothing but contempt for his nephew,
Elara watched as Harvey collapsed onto the floor again, blood dripping from his chin onto his expensive dress shirt.
The sapphire tie pin had been knocked several feet away. His face was swollen and bruised, and his once–pristine appearance was now reduced to utter disarray.
He was panting heavily with one hand braced against the floor for support. Yet when he lifted his hand, his eyes still carried that same arrogant indifference, as if no one in the room was worth his attention.
Elara turned back to Leonard. “How long did he keep me locked up?”
“Two hours.”
She let out a quiet hum of acknowledgment. “It’s a minor offense. He didn’t cause any real bodily harm. The police will probably treat him like a VIP and let him walk.”
In contrast, Finnegan had given Harvey quite the beating.
Harvey merely sat on the floor with one arm resting on his bent knee.
A smirk tugged at his lips. He wasn’t the least bit afraid of them sending him to the police station. A man who had spent years navigating the business world wouldn’t be ignorant of criminal law.
Elara’s mind turned over an idea.
She asked Leonard, “How long can be disappear without raising suspicion at Fisher Corp?”
Leonard paused for a moment, then quickly understood what she intended to do.
His
s gaze remained calin as he looked at Elara. “Do whatever you want. I’ll handle the fallout at Fisher Corp.”

That meant he could effortlessly ensure that everyone at Fisher Corp accepted Harvey’s sudden and unexplained
absence.
Leonard’s words reassured Elara. She nodded, then turned to the bodyguards at the door. “Close the door.”
As the door shut behind them, she gave another command Chain him to the wall.”
Harvey’s expression darkened. Anger flared in his eyes. “You dare think you can do this to me?”
Elara tilted her head and said, “Rather than handing you over to the police, where you’d enjoy all the privileges and protections your status affords you, I’d rather let you experience firsthand what the phrase ‘an eye for an eye‘
means.
The bodyguards obeyed her orders without hesitation. They seized Harvey’s arms and dragged him toward the wall.
“Let go of me!”
He instinctively struggled, but before he could resist further, Finnegan stepped forward and delivered a brutal kick to his abdomen.
“Ugh!” Harvey’s back slammed against the wall before he collapsed onto the floor. His wrists were now locked in place.
Seated on the ground, he snapped his head up, and his gaze seethed with fury as he glared at Elara.
The woman he had always looked down upon, the one he had dismissed as insignificant, was now standing over him, looking down at him like a queen surveying a fallen enemy.
“I was your wife for seven years. I know exactly how to make you suffer.
Elara turned, her fingers skimming over the objects on the wall before picking up a slender bamboo cane.
She glanced at the bodyguards behind her and spoke casually. “Take out your phones and start recording Mr. Fisher.”
