He saw Elara smiling at him. That smile was like a night bloom.

Upon hearing this, Harvey let out a cold laugh. She was taking revenge on him, but what right did she have to do so?
“You killed Dawn!”
The moment these words left his mouth, it was as if he had uttered a curse upon himself. Elara didn’t argue with him. She couldn’t be bothered to deal with his crazy words
She opened the door and saw a bodyguard striding toward her. This bodyguard was someone Finnegan had deliberately stationed at the complex to protect her.
“Ms. Jones, Madam Fisher saw you entering this building. She’s bringing a group of people up here!”
Elara froze. “She’s here to rescue Harvey?”
How did Ethel find out that Harvey was being held here? Did Leonard fail to hide it from the Fisher family?
“Ethel is most likely here because Beau ate the chicken noodle soup Ms. Merida brought and threw up. She is here to cause trouble over it,” said the bodyguard.
Elara finally understood what had happened. She had seen Merida sneak some chicken noodle soup into a thermos and guessed that she wanted to bring it to Beau.
The bodyguard added, “Don’t worry, Ms. Jones. Beau only threw up because Ethel forced him to do so after finding out about it. However, she wants to pin the blame on you.
“Right now, we’ve trapped Madam Fisher and her bodyguards in the elevator. Please follow us to leave through the other elevator.”
The bodyguard protecting her noticed something off the moment Ethel stepped into the elevator. As such, they tried to stall her elevator, buying time for Elara to escape.
Elaraks tone was steady as she replied, “All of you did very well. Now, go place an under–maintenance sign in front of the elevators on every floor.”
With that, she turned and looked at Harvey. In the past, he had done terrible things to her. Taking her vengeance out on his mother was not a bad idea.
As such, Elara had a new idea. In a volume that Harvey could hear, she told her bodyguard, “Place a signal jammer outside their elevator as well.”
“Understood,” replied the bodyguard. He then left to relay to the others Elara’s orders.

Harvey looked up abruptly to look at Elara.

She said in a sweet voice, “Harvey, your mother is here to keep you company in your imprisonment.”
