Chapter 302
Niamh cast a teasing glance at Abel and said, “Dad, you really didn’t need to make Elara bring Mr. Snapp. Aren’t you just setting her up for failure?”
When Niamh first heard that Theodore had become Elara’s boyfriend, she thought it was either a joke from Abel or a lie concocted by Elara herself.
After all, Theodore Snapp was the dream man and ideal partner for countless wealthy heiresses–the pinnacle of eligible bachelors. Even if Elara had won the lottery, there was no way she could ever catch Theodore’s eye.
Niamh knew Theodore had exceptionally high standards. Unlike other unmarried heirs from wealthy families, he had never been involved in any scandals since he was a teen
There was even a period when rumors circulated in their social circle that Theodore Snapp was rooting for the other team. However, it didn’t take long for those rumor–mongers to receive cease–and–desist letters from his lawyers.
So, when Abel claimed that Elara and Theodore were together, Niamh’s first reaction was, “Be careful, or Mr. Snapp might send you a lawyer’s letter.”
But Abel was adamant and even told her to ask around in their social circle. That was when Niamh saw photo after photo of Elara and Theodore appearing together.
The two looked intimate in the pictures, and every candid shot made them seem like they were straight out of a romantic drama, with their stunning looks only adding to the effect.
Niamh’s face turned green with envy. How could Theodore possibly be with Elara? Even if they were together, it had to be just a fling for him.
Like today, Abel had asked Elara to bring Theodore to her incluction ceremony, but Elara still hadn’t shown up. Someone as busy as Theodore wouldn’t have time to accompany Elara all day.
“Ms. Elara Jones is here!”
“It’s our VP, Ms. Jones!”
Niamh snapped out of her thoughts and turned her gaze toward the entrance.
Elara walked in wearing a sleek and tailored women’s suit, her dark hair elegantly tied up, revealing her slender neck and the gracefull curve of her jawline.
The man whose arm she held was equally striking–tall, poised, and exuding an air of effortless sophistication. Together, their entrance was nothing short of dazzling, lighting up the room and making everyone feel as though they were witnessing something truly extraordinary.
Accompanying them were several reporters carrying heavy camera equipment and microphones. Abel was curious, and he asked, “Elara, who are these people?
Elara addressed the room, “This is Faye Clark, a reporter from Gingham TV. This one is from World Tracker, and these are from Capitol Financial News.”
Abel’s expression shifted to one of surprise as he took in the presence of so many journalists. His gaze toward Elara changed subtly, tinged with newfound admiration.
The Jones family had never been like the Fisher family, whose every move was scrutinized by the public. Abel had always envied how the Fishers lived under the spotlight, with countless opportunities to appear in the media.
Back when he worked under Thomas Fisher, he could only and in the corner during interviews, barely catching at

glimpse of the camera.
Elara’s gentle voice broke his thoughts. “Since you’ve organized this welcome banquet for me, these reporters thought it would be a good opportunity to gather some fresh material for my upcoming feature interview.”
Abel couldn’t help but beam with pride. “That’s my daughter for you! Even Gingham TV is doing a feature on you!”
Faye and Elara exchanged a brief, knowing glance.
Elara had approached Faye earlier, asking for two favors: first, to witness a major spectacle tonight, and second, to livestream the footage captured during the event to another device.
As a journalist, Faye couldn’t resist the promise of a big story.
Abel, now in high spirits, turned to the reporters and said cheerfully, “Feel free to film as much as you’d like!”
He stepped forward and introduced himself to Faye, “I’m Elara’s father, the president of Joss Tech. Let me tell you about the history of our company!”
