Chapter 304
After steadying her breath, Niamh strode confidently toward Elara. Since her release from detention, she had visited a hair salon to dye her hair a chestnut brown and style it into loose, bouncy curls tied into a sleek ponytail that swayed as she walked.
She had also treated herself to a facial at a beauty salon, knowing she wouldn’t have the courage to face so many people otherwise.
Dressed in a tailored men’s suit and polished black leather shoes, Niamh felt she looked effortlessly cool. However, to many of the older executives and shareholders present, her outfit seemed awloward and out of place.
“Congratulations, Elara, on finding your second match so quickly.” Niamh approached, her gaze lingering on Theodore as she suppressed the envy and bitterness in her eyes.
“Mr. Snapp, I’m curious–how did you end up with my sister?”
She wore an innocent, gossip–loving expression, but Theodore responded with a cold, dismissive glance.
“Impressive,” he remarked dryly.
Niamh grinned, her eyes narrowing into crescents. “Mr. Snapp, I asked you a question. Why are you complimenting me?
“Despite your reckless driving, causing a second–degree injury to the Fisher family’s heir, you still got out of detention in less than a month? You’re really lucky. It’s like Harvey walked you out of an ultimate maximum security prison after it was supposed to be inescapable.”
Niamh’s face turned a kaleidoscope of colors. Theodore, already the center of attent
was surrounded by people eager to speak with him. Now, the onlookers‘ gazes toward her turned mocking, especially with the cameras rolling.
Last month, Niamh’s reckless driving on Riverfront Avenue had made headlines across the Capitol, and everyone! knew about it.
Theodore tilted his head slightly, whispering to Elara in a voice loud enough for others to hear. “Harvey should go to the Hall of Heroes and ask the statues to step aside so he can take their place–after all, he clearly thinks he’s larger than life.”
Elara smiled faintly and gently nudged Theodore’s arm. “I’d like to have a private word with her.”
Theodore’s gaze lingered on Elara’s face, intense and unwavering “I don’t feel comfortable leaving you alone”
Elara tilted her head, teasing him, “Are you afraid she’ll eat me alive?”
They stood close, almost face–to–face, but didn’t bother to lower their voices,
Niamh pouted unhappily. “Elara, you make me sound so terrible!”
Theodore turned to Elara and said, “Her thought process isn’t like a normal person’s. Have you gotten your rabies vaccine?”
Niamh nearly choked on her breath at his words. As it happened, Elara had recently accompanied Merida to Interact with stray cats and had indeed gotten a rabies vaccine.
Yes, I got it just a while ago,” Elara replied casually.
Niamh felt like she was about to explode. What did she take her for? Did Elara really go out of her way to get a rables vaccine after hearing about her acquittal?

Chapter 201
Niamh’s eyes burned with fury.
Theodore nodded, seemingly reassured, then turned to Niamh. His gaze instantly turned icy, and the air around. them grew heavy, making it hard for Niamh to breathe.
After giving her one last cold glance, Theodore walked away, leaving Elara and Niamh to talk.
Once Theodore was gone, Niamh’s expression shifted as she looked at Elara.
“Who would’ve thought Mr. Snapp has a thing for married women? You seem so prim and proper, but I bet you’re a completely different person in bed.”
Elara smiled sweetly and asked, “Did you just come back from the restroom? You didn’t even wash your mouth.” Niamh couldn’t hide the anger in her eyes. She stepped closer, lowering her voice to a harsh whisper, “Aren’t you afraid of getting burned by playing with fire?”
Elara’s eyes sparkled with amusement.
Niamh gritted her teeth and hissed, “What if Mr. Snapp finds out you’re two–timing him-
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Elara interrupted her calmly
Before Elara could finish, Niamh pulled out her phone, determined to expose Elara’s facade right then and there.
“I saw the video you posted on your social media! That post was only visible to me, wasn’t it?”
