Elara blinked as she watched the glass hit Niamh’s chest. The scalding hot water inside splashed directly onto Niamh’s face, effectively giving her an impromptur wash.
“Ahhh! Fuck!” Niamh screamed in agony from the burII.
The hot water mixed with the blood on her face, turning a faint pink as it dripped down. She scrambled frantically to get up from the couch.
“I’m so sorry…” Wendy spoke timidly, though her dark eyes showed no trace of remorse.
“You bitch!” Niamh grabbed a pillow from behind her and hurled it at Wendy, cursing loudly.
Wendy didn’t dodge. She merely instinctively closed her eyes.
It was just a pillow. She had been hit with much harder objects by Niamh before, leaving her bloodied and bruised.
Benjamin reached out and caught the pillow mid–air.
He stepped in front of Wendy, shielding her, and tossed the pillow aside. His expression remained neutral as he said, “Wendy didn’t do it on purpose.”
In his eyes, everyone in the Jones family was like a rabid dog
With cotton stuffed in her mouth and her face red from the burns, Niamh glared viciously at Wendy, her expression as if she wanted to tear Wendy apart.
“She did it on purpose! Why do you still let her live here? She broke my bowl, ruine…y clothes, and left my window open, letting a huge bug crawl onto my bed!”
Wendy trembled as she hid behind Benjamin. Niamh was right–she had done it on purpose.
After Benjamin brought her back, Wendy had been living with the Jones family, and Niamh deliberately assigned her to do the work of a maid.
Wendy didn’t mind being treated like a maid by the Jones family. It gave her the chance to enter Niamh’s room freely with a broom and a rag
But the other maids in the Jones household often competed with her for chores, making it difficult for her to thoroughly search Niamh’s room for incriminating evidence.
All she could do was return the bullying she had endured in school, giving Niamh a taste of her own medicine.
She had been bullied by Niamh for two whole years. Now that she was in the Jones household, the revenge she inflicted on Niamh was still far from matching even a fraction of what Niamh had done to her!
“What’s with the ruckus? How dare you make a scene in front of me?”
Abel’s face was still twisted with anger after returning home.
Niamh didn’t realize that her wailing and screaming not only failed to earn anyone’s sympathy but also made Abel feel like her voice was a fly buzzing annoyingly in his ears.
our video!”
Niamh was utterly aggrieved. “Dad, I swear I wasn’t the one who leaked your
Mentioning the earlier incident reignited the fury in Abel’s heart. It looked like smoke was about to rise from the top of his head.
“I ought to rip your tongue out!” Abel slammed his hand on the armrest of the sofa as he shouted and stood up

abruptly.
Niamh shuddered, sensing impending doom. She turned to look at Elara, who sat nearby with a laptop on her knees, typing away furiously.
Why did Elara seem so detached, as if everything happening in the Jones family had nothing to do with her?
Niamh’s eyes burned with malice.
“Dad! It was Elara! She’s the one who leaked your video!”
Before Niamh could finish, Abel slapped her again.
“You’ve truly got a death wish!”
The force of the slap sent Niamh tumbling off the couch and onto the floor. Her hair was disheveled, and her swollen cheeks squeezed her eyes into slits.
“Dad, why won’t you believe me? What good would it do me to leak your video?”
At that moment, Elara spoke up. “During such a critical period for Joss Tech’s acquisition, what good would it do the to expose Dad’s scandal?”
She then turned to Abel. “Companies like Ohm Technologies and Zenith Tech have already reached out, asking how we plan to handle what happened at the banquet.
“Dad, I just suppressed the trending hashtags about you online. I’m doing everything I can to minimize the impact this incident has on Joss Tech.”
