This further proved that his disappearance and reappearance were entirely orchestrated by Leonard.
Harvey walked into the dining room. As he looked at the familiar breakfast spread, he suddenly felt as if an eternity had passed.
“Harvey, you’re back,” Ethel said as she walked in, having not seen her son in a while.
“Mom,” Harvey greeted her with a neutral tone.
Ethel sat down and joined him for the meal. Harvey then picked up his fork, and in front of him was his usual Melcinian–style breakfast.
However, he had no appetite. He tried taking a bite of the sandwich, but all he could think about was the bowl of soup Elara had brought him.
“Make me a bowl of chicken noodle soup,” Harvey instructed Mary.
“What?” Mary hesitated. “That’ll take at least half an hour.”
Mary glanced at Ethel, who asked in surprise, “Why do you suddenly want to eat that? Soup isn’t filling. Melcinian food is much more nutritious than Euconian food!”
Harvey said to Mary, “Go make it.”
Mary nodded. “Alright, I’ll check the notes Mrs. Fisher left behind.”
The term “Mrs. Fisher” struck a chord in Harvey.
He stopped Mary. “What did Elara leave for you?”
Mary paused. “Mrs. Fish-

“Ahem!” Ethel glared at Mary.
Mary quickly corrected herself, “Ms. Jones left me some notes before. They recorded the daily habits and dietary preferences of you and Mr. Beau.”
Harvey had never known Elara left such notes for Mary. “Show them to me.”
Mary handed her phone to Harvey. “Besides the digital version, Ms. Jones also had me print out several copies for the other staff in the house.”
Thanks to the notes Elara left behind, the household staff were able to continue taking good care of Harvey and Beau even after she left.
Harvey flipped through the notes Elara had written. She had meticulously recorded every detail of his and the children’s daily habits. Elara had clearly deeply loved him and the children.
How could she have loved so deeply, only to stop loving them so abruptly?
Harvey instructed Mary, “Send me a copy of these notes.”
Mary took her phone back and nodded. “Alright.”
“Why do you want these notes?” Ethel asked him.
Harvey shot her a cold glance. “You’ve never read Elara’s notes, have you?”

Ethel stayed silent. Of course, she hadn’t. She didn’t even know Elara had left notes for the staff.
Harvey told Mary, “Give my mother a printed copy of the notes. Morn, since you’re now fully in charge of the household, take a look at Elara’s notes and learn how to properly care for Beau.”
Ethel’s expression showed a hint of reluctance. “Last week, something big happened in the Jones family. You know about it, right?”
When Ethel brought up the Jones family, Harvey looked up and noticed the glee in her eyes, which she couldn’t hide.
The man frowned. “What happened?”
“Niamh exposed a video of Abel and his secretary!” Since it was negative news about the Jones family, Ethel couldn’t wait to share it with her son.
“Then Elara…..”
It wasn’t until the third time he said her name that Harvey realized how intimate his tone sounded when referring to his ex–wife.
