Chapter 326
Elara laughed when she heard this, but Abel held up three fingers.
“Harvey is offering three billion dollars!”
Abel leaned on the table, his voice tinged with excitement. If Joss Tech is acquired by Fisher Corp, we can both be on Fisher Corp’s board of directors!”
This was something Theodore hadn’t promised the Jones family during the acquisition discussions.
“Here’s the acquisition proposal Harvey wrote himself. Take a look,” Abel said as he handed a thick proposal to Elara.
The price and terms Harvey offered were very tempting to him.
Elara took the proposal but didn’t even glance at it. She tore off the first page and fed it into the shredder. Then, the second page, the third page–each one followed the same fate.
Her movements were slow and deliberate as she fed the pages into the shredder. This proposal, which Harvey had spent all night writing, meant nothing to her.
Abel was already shouting, “Elara! What are you doing?”
Harvey’s face was icy. He simply said, “I know you resent me, but to not even look at a three–billion–dollar acquisition proposal–you’re being too impulsive!!!
Seeing Elara’s actions, Harvey added, “Is three billion not enough? Then I’ll offer five billion dollars to buy Joss
Tech.”
Abel’s heart skipped a beat. He could hardly stay seated. Harvey’s offer was more than double what Theodore had proposed.
“Harvey, if you’re really willing to offer that much, then on behalf of Joss Tech…”
“Dad, you no longer have decision–making authority.” Elara’s single sentence forced Abel back into his chair. Remembering how he had lost his decision–making power over Joss Tech, Abel hated Niamh even more. He could only plead, “Elara, you need to think about the future of Jones Group! What’s wrong with partnering with Harvey? You were married to him for seven years–he clefinitely won’t treat you unfairly!”
Elara tossed the half–shredded proposal onto the table, while Harvey sat in his chair, looking up at Elara Once again, he saw the same expression on her face that she had worn when she stepped on him during his Imprisonment. Cold and haughty, like a queen who didn’t even see him as worthy of her attention.
“Harvey, when we divorced, I had to beg you for 60 million. Now, you’re willing to spend three billion, even five billion, to acquire Joss Tech…”
A cold, mocking smile spilled from Elara’s eyes. “I’ll have you know that I wouldn’t work with you even if you offered ten billion dollars!
“That’s because you’re untrustworthy and highly unpredictable! When we signed the divorce agreement, you gave me a taste of being wealthy, only to snatch it back less than month later, smug as ever.
you do?”
“If you could kick me and Merida out of our home, what wouldn’t you
Harvey’s breathing grew unsteady as Elara spoke, “I’m willing to offer a high price for Joss Tech now to make it up to you.”

Chapter 326
Elara laughed. “I’m not your wife anymore, Mr. Fisher. How can you fix personal feelings into business?”
Harvey was stunned. The woman he had once looked down on, the one he had never taken seriously, was now. lecturing him about professionalism.
Elara leaned forward with her hands on the table. For the first time, Harvey felt an overwhelming sense of pressure emanating from her. The man leaned back in his ghair as Elara looked down at him with disdain.
He instinctively held his breath, marveling inwardly at how beautiful his wife of seven years had become. She was like a pearl wiped clean of dust, her radiance shining brightly in Harvey’s eyes.
Harvey stared at Elara’s face, watching her pale pink lips part as she spoke in a cold, cutting tone, “I won’t sell Joss Tech to you!
“Harvey Fisher, let me make this clear–when I’m no longer your wife, I’ll only be your client or your superior!
“You’ll have to bow beneath me! You don’t even have the right to stand as my equal!”
Harvey’s heart pounded violently. It was like a surge of molten heat was erupting within him, almost burning a hole through his chest.
His dark gaze locked onto Elara’s face. He instinctively wanted to reach out and touch her cheek.
But the moment Harvey realized what he was about to do, hit him–he no longer had the right to touch Elara!
