Chapter 352
Elara glared coldly at Harvey. It was clear Harvey already knew everything that had happened in the auditorium earlier.
The elevator malfunctioning, Harvey showing up here–his intentions were obvious.
Elara’s grip on Merida’s hand tightened, her palm sweating Harvey had truly lost his mind! He kept calling Merida his daughter, yet he didn’t care about her safety at all.
But without concrete evidence, he would never admit to having anything to do with the elevator malfunction.
Elara suppressed the anger bubbling inside her. “Did you know about Rosalie targeting Merida?”
Harvey replied, “She’s been spending a lot of time with my mother lately…“.
In other words, Rosalie’s bold behavior at school had Ethel’s backing and encouragement behind it. Just then, the elevator doors opened, and several teachers from the arts department stepped out.
They greeted Harvey respectfully, “Mr. Fisher.”
Merida recognized them. When she was in the lower grade, these teachers had been judges at the talent show.
“Hello, everyone! I’m Merida Jones from Class 1B in the kindergarten division. I’d like to sign up for a solo performance at the talent show. Is that possible?”
Merida clasped her hands together, her expression sincere as she looked at the teachers.
Meanwhile, the teachers exchanged uneasy glances. They looked to Harvey, the supposed board member. If he gave his approval, they would naturally follow his lead.
However, these unspoken rules weren’t something they could explain to a child like Merida.
Elara turned to Harvey. “Are you here waiting for me to beg you?”
Harvey genuinely wanted to see Elara plead with him. A flicker of amusement danced in his deep eyes.
“If you beg me, getting Merida into the talent show will be easy to arrange!”
Merida bit her lower lip. “I want to participate in the talent show, but I haven’t decided what kind of performance to do yet.”
She spoke earnestly to the teachers, “Once I’ve rehearsed my performance, I’ll show it to you. If you like it, I hope you’ll support me so I can perform on stage in front of the whole school!”
Seeing that Merida also didn’t seem to care about his presence, Harvey asked, “Don’t you need Daddy’s help, Merida?”
He told her, “As long as you’re my daughter and the little princess of the Fisher family, not only can you sign up for the talent show, but I can even get you the first–place title!”
Merida shook her head at him. “Even if you’re still my dad, want to impress the judges with my own performance.”
Harvey looked at his daughter’s stubborn expression. Merida’s features resembled his more, and her personality was easygoing and optimistic. But sometimes, her stubbornness and independence reminded him a bit of Elara.
Harvey sighed. “You’re only five, and you already want to do everything on your own? That’s going to be exhausting.”

He glanced at Elara, his voice softening as he spoke to Merida. “Go ahead and prepare a performance you’re good at. If you need Daddy’s help, just call me anytime.”
Harvey thought of something else and added, “Whatever kind of teacher, team, or coach you need, Daddy can arrange it for you. I’ll do everything I can to help you…”

“Thank you, Mr. Harvey.” Merida’s voice was polite but distant, and the title “Mr. Harvey” made Harvey’s brow furrow tightly.
