Chapter 365
When Theodore said the word “break up“, a flash of triumph flickered in Harvey’s eyes.
He knew Theodore was putting on an act, but since the man had gone that far, Harvey was more than happy to see how he’d walk it back.
“Theodore Snapp, since you’ve said it, then stand by it!” Harvey declared.
Now he was going to force Theodore and Elara to split–right here, right now.
“I never intended to break up with Mr. Snapp,” Elara spoke up.
Her hand remained wrapped in Theodore’s larger one as she solemnly addressed Harvey. She continued, “And I certainly won’t end things with him just because you’re trying to stir up trouble between us.”
Harvey’s expression darkened instantly, as if someone had hurled his heart into a pit.
“Elara…” Theodore called her name gently.
Elara tightened her grip on his hand. “He’s the one causing a scene at the Snapp–Jones acquisition ceremony. The person who should leave isn’t you–it’s Harvey!”
A smile tugged at the corners of Theodore’s lips, while Harvey felt as if someone had slammed a hammer into his chest. The weight of the blow echoed deep within his ribcage.
Theodore was clearly comforted by Elara’s stance. There was a quiet gleam in his eyes, like starlight dancing behind them.
“You’re so good to me.”
It was as if just one firm word from Elara was enough to make him content. Elara then spoke to him in a soft, coaxing voice. “That’s because you’re my boyfriend…”
“Elara Jones!”
Harvey finally couldn’t sit still and shot to his feet. He wasn’t dead just yet!
He stood right there in front of them, and yet Elara and Theodore acted like he didn’t exist. The way they looked at each other, it was like there was an unspoken pull–something too intense to ignore.
“Elara, there’s one more thing I haven’t told you yet.”
It was as if Theodore had made a heavy decision. His voice remained gentle, but a trace of sorrow flickered in his fox–like eyes.
“In order to break us up, Harvey even hired a hacker to infiltrate the medical center’s records and steal my medical files. He found out I went to see a doctor, and he was terrified I’d been diagnosed with something. He wanted to use my medical history to blackmail me into leaving you.”
Elara, of course, already knew about this. She had even advised Theodore to make Harvey’s despicable actions public.
So, this wasn’t just a confession–it was Theodore’s announcement, meant for everyone to hear.
He hadn’t even finished before the crowd leaned in, eager to listen when they caught the scent of looming gossip. And when he was done, the room burst into noise.
“What? Mr. Fisher did something like that? That’s way over the linel”

“Mr. Snapp, wait–do you actually have some kind of illness?”
Using their question as a cue, Theodore turned to Harvey, his voice suddenly sharp and cold. “Mr. Fisher, go on. Tell everyone what kind of illness I supposedly have.”
Harvey’s fingers curled into his palms. The veins on the backs of his hands bulged beneath the skin. His lips pressed into a hard line, jaw tightening so sharply his features turned angular.
Theodore was doing this on purpose! There was no way Harvey could say anything in front of th when it meant revealing that Theodore had gone to a urologist to have a bead implanted.
owd–not
Even if Harvey hinted at it vaguely, the moment he uttered the words “urology“, Theodore would finish the story himself. In fact, he’d do so in detail, right in front of everyone. And having a bead implanted wasn’t even something shameful.
On the contrary–among these upper–crust elites–it would probably earn Theodore praise for being considerate toward Elara. Once the story spread, all of Capitol might end up cheering for Theodore and Elara to stay together. “Harvey, why aren’t you saying anything?” Theodore pressed him with a wide–eyed, innocent look Harvey’s expression darkened, and he stayed silent–but the reporters in the room could no longer sit still. Some hoisted their cameras, others charged forward with microphones, quickly surrounding Harvey.
“Mr. Fisher, is it true you hacked into Mr. Snapp’s medical records? Can you explain why you would do such a thing?”
“Mr. Fisher, it seems you’ve repeatedly targeted Mr. Snapp. Why is that? As far as we know, Fisher Corp and Snapp Group have never had any conflicts.”
“Mr. Fisher, are you concerned about Mr. Snapp’s health because he’s dating Ms. Jones? But you and Ms. Jones are already divorced. As her ex–husband, could it be that you’re still hung up on her?”
Even Faye, the reporter from Gingham TV, was present. She had come to cover the story of Snapp Group’s acquisition of Joss Tech. An event like this–full of romantic entanglements and drama–wasn’t something she’d typically report on during a formal business deal.
However, her instincts as a journalist got the better of her, and she couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Fisher, are you…. perhaps jealous of Mr. Snapp?”
It was as if someone had splashed a whole jar of vinegar across Harvey’s face. His eyes flew open, with pupils shrinking sharply. Even his clenched fists began to tremble
“Heh. Jealous?” Harvey let out a cold, disdainful snort. “I’m just disgusted by how long Mr. Snapp has been eyeing my ex–wife!”
“What!” Gasps exploded across the room.
Harvey’s words carried an explosive weight, and every guest there felt it land.
