The guests collectively took a deep breath as Theodore confessed his feelings in front of everyone.
Meanwhile, Harvey’s expression turned pitch black, as though a heavy layer of lead had been smeared across his face. It looked like a storm of thunder and lightning was about to erupt from it any second.
Elara’s long lashes curled upward as she looked at Theodon. The contours of his profile were smooth–his high nose bridge and deep–set eyes seemed like they’d been sculpted by a master craftsman.
Light from the ceiling fixtures fell on the arch of his brow, casting soft shadows beneath his thick lashes. When he turned his head to meet her gaze, ripples seemed to spread through the air.
He gave her a gentle smile. In those clear, serene eyes of his emotions built up over the years spilled out- emotions he had stored just for her.
Every breath Elara took felt hot. That surge from his gaze washed over her like a wave, engulfing her completely.
It felt like–lava had reached her feet–heat rose quickly from her soles and swept through her entire body. Even her hands curled up instinctively.
Theodore caught the slight movement of her throat as she swallowed hard and chuckled softly, the sound slipping past his refined lips.
“Don’t be nervous,” he said gently, trying to soothe her.
“How can I not be nervous when you just confessed your love in public?” Elara whispered.
“Sorry,” Theodore began, but before he could finish, she cut in.
“Keep going. I really like hearing it.”
Theodore hadn’t expected her to encourage him. For a brief moment, his breath hitched.
Light flickered in his eyes, but he quickly calmed his nerves. He faced the microphone again, locking eyes with Harvey, who stood in the crowd.
This moment was rare, and Theodore knew–he was the only one who had the right to confess to Elara in front of
everyone.
“No matter what Elara chooses, I’ll support her. Whether she wants to marry someone or leave someone- whatever her decisions are, I’ll always stand behind her and be there when she needs me.
“From this day forward, I’ll continue to support every choice Elara makes. Snapp Group had officially acquired Joss Tech today. I hope everyone here will believe in the strength of our partnership and the bright future we’re building together.”
Harvey tasted the metallic tang of blood in his mouth. The veins on the back of his hand bulged and throbbed violently.
Loud applause erupted around him, like the sudden pop of an uncorked soda bottle. It became a sound that echoed through his chest, and every clap felt like it was landing squarely on his heart.
Meanwhile, Leonard sat at his desk, watching the official livestream from Joss Tech on his computer screen. He watched as Theodore and Elara stood side by side.
His hands rested lightly on the armrests of his chair. Sunlight streamed in from behind him, casting a soft glow on his porcelain–pale skin. Bathed in light, his complexion looked nearly translucent.

He looked every bit like someone favored by the heavens–noble and refined from head to toe, his elegance seemingly inborn.
His long, thick lashes fluttered with each blink. His eyes stayed fixed on Elara’s face, though no one could tell what exactly was running through his mind.
Elsewhere, Lesley was also watching the Joss Tech livestream. The moment she heard Theodore’s speech, she rushed to call Finnegan.
“Finn, are you watching the Joss Tech stream? Is Theodore confessing to Elara right now? Oh my God–he’s going all in, face–to–face with that Fisher mutt!”
However, no response came from the other end of the line, Lesley asked again, “Finn? Are you listening?”
After a brief pause, Finnegan’s voice finally came through.
“Don’t bother me. I’m grilling.”
