Chapter 370
“I didn’t!!” Harvey was nearly driven mad with anger–how dare Theodore insult him like that? What a vicious
man!
“Elara, you have to believe me!”
Harvey had never begged anyone like this before. For the first time, he felt the sting of being unable to defend himself. He stood there, feeling completely isolated
Behind Elara, the wealthy elites began whispering among themselves.
“Did Mr. Fisher even get hurt? He looks totally fine. Meanwhile, Mr. Snapp looks like a wreck.”
“Obviously, Mr. Snapp’s the one who got bullied here.”
“This isn’t the first time Mr. Fisher targeted Mr. Snapp. I saw him throw a punch at him once.”
“I heard Mr. Fisher even poured a whole bottle of hand soap on Mr. Snapp in the restroom before. He must’ve done the same this time, dumping wine on him just because he doesn’t like him.”
“This is clearly about Ms. Jones. Mr. Fisher’s just trying to steal her back from Mr. Snapp! And now he’s trying to get her alone in a room to ‘show his injuries‘? Please–he’s flirting with her!”
“I’m Team Snapp all the way! He’s the official boyfriend now. Mr. Fisher, the ex–husband, is just acting like a third wheel”
The murmurs around him turned Harvey’s face so dark it was nearly black with fury.
“What third wheel?” he shouted. “Are you all insane? I’d never be someone’s side piece!”
Theodore chuckled. “All I know is if you’re not the one being loved, you’re the side piece…!
Dark clouds seemed to gather over Harvey’s face as he turned to Elara, desperate to know what she thought of him.
now.
However, she didn’t even spare him a glance. Instead, Elara looked Theodore over carefully, head to toe.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
“Right here.” Theodore pointed at his own cheek.
Harvey’s eyes widened in disbelief. “I didn’t hit you!”
Elara reached out and lightly brushed her soft fingertips across Theodore’s cheek. Like a playful Samoyed, Theodore tilted his head with a charming grin, eyes full of longing for her touch.
Elara couldn’t help but laugh at his expression.
Harvey, still completely ignored, called out again in frustration, “Elara Jones! I swear I didn’t touch him!” Elara said to Theodore, “Go change into something clean. The third room to the left, just outside the hall–that’s your private lounge. I set it up for you.”
“Okay,” Theodore nodded obediently.
At the words private lounge, Harvey’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
Theodore brushed past Harvey coldly, and the tension between them crackled in the air, like sparks off a live wire. Their presence clashed, and the atmosphere grew heavy with unspoken hostility. Harvey’s gaze turned icy as he

watched Theodore walk away,
Next to the reception hall, two rows of rooms had been set aside. During the banquet, who had access to which room had long been arranged internally at Joss Tech.
Harvey’s eyes lingered on Theodore’s retreating figure, and a crooked smile crept across his lips. He looked smug and calculative.
Elara looked at Harvey without a word, her dark eyes clear and cool, untouched by emotion. When Harvey turned to glance back at her, she was already walking off with the guests, not sparing him a second
Harvey’s eyes darkened as he stared after her. He was determined to show Elara that Theodore was not someone she could depend on!
He returned to the banquet hall, where a waiter approached with a tray. Harvey plucked a glass of champagne without hesitation. The scuffle with Theodore outside the restroom didn’t faze him one bit.
His eyes followed Elara again–he hadn’t stopped watching her for a moment. Maybe Elara chose not to escalate things because she still had feelings for him?
Maybe she thought he had confronted Theodore for her sake?
The thought brought a twisted smirk to his face. That was certainly what she was thinking!
This was nothing more than the pride of the Fisher Corp heir refusing to be stepped on. And he wouldn’t bother correcting her if Elara really had misunderstood his intentions.
Sooner or later, Theodore would disappoint her completely. And when that happened–she’d come running back into his arms.
That thought made Harvey’s smile deepen, satisfaction blooming behind his eyes.
