Chapter 371
Someone approached and leaned in close to Harvey’s ear, speaking in a low voice. “Mr. Fisher, Ms. Jones would like to speak with you privately.”
The person delivering the message was Cassie. Harvey froze for a moment. He glanced around the room, only to find that Elara was no longer there.
“Where is she?” he asked.
Cassie replied, “Ms. Jones is waiting in the office outside. Please follow me.”
Harvey then followed her out..
Just moments ago, Elara had barely spoken to him in front of all those people. In fact, she hadn’t even spared him a glance. And now, she wanted to see him alone?
His breathing grew heavier. So, she really was a fickle woman, juggling both sides! She was ignoring him in front of Theodore, then summoning him in secret?
Elara’s behavior when it came to men completely shattered Harvey’s expectations. She had probably divorced him just to throw herself into total freedom.
How could she act like this–flirting left and right? Both Theodore and Lesley had clearly fallen at her feet!
And who knew? Maybe during their marriage, she had already cheated on him and made a fool of him.
The thought alone made Harvey even more irritated. It felt like a heavy stone was lodged in his chest, pressing down on his heart, making it ache and hard to breathe. Just then, a server opened the door and invited him in.
Harvey stood at the entrance of the room, thinking: if Elara was ready to lower herself and beg for forgiveness, then he might consider it but only if she completely cut ties with Theodore and Lesley!

When someone was caught up in their own fantasies, they tended to follow instructions without thinking, Harvey stepped into the room, and just as he heard the door shut behind him, he snapped back to reality.
Only then did Harvey take a good look, and there was no one else in the room. What had Elara’s assistant just said? Did she say she wanted him to wait or something?
She arranged a private meeting with him and still made him wait? She must be doing it on purpose–testing his patience, trying to show him who’s in charge.
But today was the official acquisition day for Joss Tech. Elars surely had a lot on her plate and many people to meet. If she was still willing to see him alone, then waiting a little while wouldn’t kill him.
Harvey sat down on the sofa. His brow was furrowed, and his gaze was unfocused, still lost in his own thoughts.
How long had it been since he and Elara last spoke alone? The last time they were alone… was when Elara had locked him up.
The memory of those days made heat creep across Harvey’sskin. His face flushed, his eyes darted around, and an unexpected wave of helplessness overtook him, sending

handcuff here?
Even as the question formed in his mind, the answer was already emerging. He held the handcuff, swallowed hard, and his sharp Adam’s apple moved visibly down his throat.
Could it be… Elara didn’t bring him here to talk?
Did she want to… play a little game?
A soft click sounded as Harvey effortlessly opened the cuff. He stared at his wrist and the

After what happened the last time–after she tied him up–did she ever, from time to time, remember how satisfying it had felt to beat the hell out of him?
Was this her way of saying she wanted a rematch?
Harvey looked down, and one end of the handcuff now fastened snugly around his pale wrist. Minutes quickly. ticked by. The room slowly grew warmer.
His hands rested behind his back. With the rise and fall of his chest, the buttons on his suit jacket began to strain. Sweat dampened his hair, and a fine mist of heat glazed over his eyes.
Where was Elara?
Just as that thought crossed his mind, there was a click, and the door opened.
