“Harvey! I’m trying to help you! I’m already undressed! Why won’t you take yours off?”
“No! Let me go!”
The more he resisted, the more excited Niamh became. “Why are you making that face? Are you afraid I’ll devour you?”
Niamh fumbled with Harvey’s suit buttons but couldn’t undo them.
Growing impatient, she snapped, “Ugh! Stop squirming! If you keep wriggling like this, I can’t promise what I might do!”
Harvey’s scalp prickled with alarm as warning bells blared in his head. With a powerful kick of his legs, he sent Niamh tumbling off the couch.
Ahhh!” Niamh crashed to the floor with a pained cry.
Harvey lay panting on the sofa, staring wide–eyed at Niamh sprawled on the ground. “You’ve gone absolutely mental!”
He even began suspecting Niamh might have orchestrated this trapped–in–a–room scenario. But then reconsidered as Niamh wasn’t clever enough for such scheming.
“Harvey! Why’d you kick me? Don’t you consider me your bro anymore?” Niamh protested indignantly, yet Harvey ignored her completely.
Struggling to his feet, Harvey staggered toward the door. He turned his back to reach for the handle, only to find it locked
“Damn it!” Harvey swore violently, his temper flaring
The realization that Elara had likely masterminded this confinement with Niamh made him even angrier. He moved to the window next, but it too was securely locked.
Yet Harvey refused to resign himself to being helpless prey. He would exhaust every possible means to escape this nightmare.
Harvey scanned the room frantically when his gaze suddenly locked onto the aromatherapy ditfuser. Holding his breath, he approached the diffuser and turned His back to it, yanking out its power cord with difficulty. Then, gripping the diffuser with his restrained hands, he swung it hard against the window pane.
If he could just shatter the glass, fresh air would pour in, preventing both him and Niamh from losing control. But with his hands cuffed behind his back, he couldn’t muster enough force despite holding the diffuser. Sweat poured down Harvey’s face like rainwater.
Defeated, Harvey abandoned the diffuser and searched for something sharper. Yet if he’d thought of breaking the window, surely Elara had anticipated this too. After scouring the room, he found no suitable tools to assist him.
Refusing to give up, Harvey resorted to hurling his entire body against the glass. He threw his full weight against the window with a thunderous impact that made the entire pane shudder.
The violent noise startled Niamh.

Chapter 374
“Harvey! We’re on the 24th floor! This is too dangerous!” she shouted.
But Harvey remained deaf to her warnings. Niamh sat on the floor, watching as he persistently rammed himself against the reinforced glass.
The corporate–grade windows at Joss Tech headquarters were specially temper, and no amount of bodily impact from Harvey could possibly break them.
Niamh opened her mouth, then closed it without uttering further protests. A realization dawned on her: Harvey’s frantic efforts would only accelerate his heart rate, intensifying the drug’s effects as his blood heated with exertion.
Licking her lips in barely contained excitement, Niamh decided to wait patiently for the chemicals to overwhelm Harvey’s resistance completely.
