Chapter 379
Elara chatted with several executives from Snapp Group wille glancing at her watch. By now, Harvey and Niamh had likely lost all rationality.
Harvey’s original plan involved collaborating with Niamh to publicly expose Then lore in a scandal during the acquisition ceremony’s cocktail party.
But his downfall stemmed from two critical miscalculations: choosing an incompetent partner and underestimating Elara’s absolute control over Joss Tech.
Harvey arrogantly believed he had successfully bribed several Joss Tech employees. What he didn’t know was that these very employees reported his bribery attempts to Elara immediately after first contact.
Elara instructed them to play along.
Though Harvey exercised caution, ensuring each employee only knew their specific task, the fragmented information ultimately revealed his entire scheme when compiled by Elara.
Some installed surveillance in the guest lounges. Others were tasked with serving Theodore a specific drink. A few slipped drugs into beverages in the kitchen when no one was looking
When Elara pieced together these reports, she fully understood what Harvey wanted to do to Theodore.
Niamh’s role involved supplying drugs to one employee and purchasing an aromatherapy diffuser for the guest lounge actions Elara monitored from the beginning.
Elara waited until Harvey and Niamh completed their preparations before switching the rooms containing the diffuser and cameras. The moment Harvey threw red wine on Theodore, Elara knew the trap had sprung.
Tonight, every elite tycoon in attendance would witness Harvey Fisher’s despicable schemes with their own eyes.
Elara!” Theodore’s urgent voice suddenly echoed through the grand hall.
All heads turned as Theodore hurried in, his face slightly pale and his expression grave.
“Mr. Snapp, what’s wrong?” someone asked. Other guests quickly gathered around, their curiosity piqued.
Theodore approached Elara, speaking loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. “After changing clothes, I heard noises from the next room. When I opened the door, I saw Harvey and Niamh…”
He trailed off, glancing around cautiously before continuing in a hushed tone, “They must have taken something strange. Harvey’s hands were cuffed, and Niamh was on top of him.”
A collective gasp swept through the crowd.
Theodore looked genuinely shaken. “They even invited me to join! If I hadn’t run, Harvey would have pinned me down!”
“What?”
Shocked murmurs erupted. “That’s impossible! Harvey would never do such things!”
Another added, “Exactly! The CEO of Fisher Group? Messing around at a formal event? Mr. Snapp must be mistaken!”
“I wish I were,” Theodore sald griinly.
Elara frowned, and her face looked solen. “I’ll go see what’s really happening.”
She strode out with Theodore at her side, followed by nearly every guest in the ballroom.
