Theodore sat beside her, accompanying her home. Elara’s eyes, usually clear and bright, now carried a faint mistiness. Suddenly remembering something, she pulled out her phone and made a call.
“Hello.”
Leonard’s cool, water–like voice flowed into her ears, soothing her alcohol–fired nerves like a clear spring
“Mr. Fisher, I’ve secured control of Joss Tech.” Elara’s voice brimmed with childlike excitement as she proudly announced her achievement to Leonard.
Hearing her say “Mr. Fisher“, Theodore’s eyelashes fluttered slightly. She’s talking to Leonard. He then turned his head to look at her.

Hearing his name, Theodore’s smile widened until it nearly reached his ears.
Leonard responded, “If he bothers you, I can transfer him to the Fernia branch.”
A soft chuckle escaped Elara’s throat before she said, “No need for now. I still want to have some fun with him.” She continued, “I’ve taken over Priscilla’s project. Quantum Tech is now under my control, and since Fisher Corp is Prince Nation’s partner, I’ll make sure Harvey knows he’s no match for me in business!”
As she spoke, the haze in her eyes cleared slightly. “If Harvey ever goes to Fernia, it’ll be because he chose to run there himself!”
Leonard remained silent, and through the phone, Elara could only hear his steady breathing.
“Mr. Fisher?”
His voice finally reached her ears. “Seems like the you from seven years ago has returned.”

A fuzzy warmth bloomed in Elara’s chest, and her cheeks flushed pink again.
Theodore seemed to realize belatedly. “Oh? You’re talking to Leo? No worries, no worries.
“I’ll just keep admiring the view by myself.”
He lifted his wrist and glanced at his Patek Philippe. He then asked, “It’s almost 10:00 pm. Can the old man even stay up this late? Don’t bully the elderly now.”

Leonard was baffled. Every word Theodore said was transmitted clearly through the phone.
Leonard’s voice came through again. “You’re with Theodore right now?”
“Mm,” Elara replied curtly.
“Then I won’t keep you.” His tone softened. “Get some rest early.”
