Niamh’s mouth opened, her voice trembling as she muttered, “Why… Why would Harvey say that?”
By pushing all the blame onto her, wasn’t Harvey essentially sentencing her to death? was no wonder Abel wanted to kill her! Niamh shivered violently, feeling as if her heart might split apart.
Abel pointed at her face and growled, “After I break your legs, I’ll drag you to the Fisher family to beg Harvey’s forgiveness!”
“Dad! No! Harvey’s lying! What he’s saying isn’t true!”
She knew with certainty that Abel would truly break her legs. Disaster was coming for her!
Benjamin interjected coldly, “What you should consider is why Harvey would say this. Regardless of the truth, when Harvey shifts all the blame to you, it means you’ve become worthless to him!
“To him, you’re just a scapegoat now!”
Tears welled in Niamh’s eyes. Had Harvey forgotten Dawn’s dying words? How could he do this to her?
“Dad, I’ve been framed!” Niamh murmured despairingly.
Abel refused to listen: “I don’t care if you’re framed! You’ve offended the Fisher family, and I must take y to apologize!”
In Abel’s eyes, Niamh had lost all value. Sacrificing her might just restore the Jones family’s reputation.
The emotion in Niamh’s tear–filled eyes gradually chilled. “Dad, you can’t hit me.
“I slept with Harvey, so I might be carrying his child!‘
Benjamin froze as he stared at Niamh. Abel also stopped in his tracks, his expression shifting rapidly.
He asked in shock, “What did you say?”

Inside the auditorium of Summit Academy’s kindergarten division, Elara held Merida’s hand as they waited backstage. The little girl wore an adorable fluffy pink tap dance costume.
“Merida!”
Her classmates immediately surrounded her when they saw her,
“Your outfit is so cute!”
“Wow! Your shoes are so adorable!”
Merida’s pink–and–white shoes featured silver cloud patterns and golden lion paw designs on the toes. Some children even crouched down to touch the “lion paw“. After all, who could resist such a charming little girl in a fluffy costume?
Merida explained proudly, “This is a Southern–style tap dance costume. I’ll be performing a tap dance later!”
“Wow! You’re amazing, Merida!” The children gasped in admiration.
Paisley watched Merida’s costume with round, timid eyes. Though the outfit looked heavy for her, Merida appeared absolutely adorable in it.

Paisley pouted playfully, and Meride noticed how her lips were glossy. Her face was ed with heavy stage makeup, and her hair was pulled back into a tight bun secured at the nape. Glittering, sequins sprinkled through her styled hair.
When Merida first saw her, she barely recognized her friend.
The five–year–old’s face was painted with rosy blush, defined eyebrows, highlighted cheekbones, and thick cherry red lipstick. Though the makeup gave Paisley a strangely mature appearance, her tiny, slender frame created a Jarring mismatch with the heavy cosmetics.
“Paisley!” Rosalie called sharply, her face darkening when she noticed Paisley talking to Merida.
Paisley then scurried to Rosalie’s side like an obedient kitten. After that, Rosalie knelt to inspect Paisley’s makeup for smudges.
Looking up at Merida’s bulky tap costume, Rosalie smirked, “Merida, you should really thank your daddy. Don’t you think so?”
Her comment made several nearby parents turn toward Merida.
