Chapter 400
“What kind of nonsense are you spouting?” Rosalie asked. She then shoved Harold’s shoulder, displeased.
She then added unhappily, “How can you side with outsiders instead of rooting for your daughter?” Harold pursed his lips and quickly changed his tune to appease Rosalie. “Paisley could probably win first place. Besides the judges‘ scores, there’s also the audience votes. Paisley’s performance had the most people present watching.”
Rosalie raised her chin proudly. “Paisley will definitely win first place!”
She had already spoken to several parents in advance. From what she knew, more than half of the parents had already voted for Paisley.
Elara looked down. She then took a pen and placed a check mark next to the title of Merida’s performance. Xavier did the same and gave Elara a thumbs–up.
Elara smiled in response.
Seated behind them, Beau could clearly see the interaction between Elara and Xavier. His expression darkened with resentment.
Harvey’s voice could be heard. .“Why aren’t you voting for Merida?”
Beau huffed, his cheeks puffing. “Why must I vote for her?
“If you aren’t voting for her, then who do you want to vote for?”
Beau’s gaze swept over the program list repeatedly. He then put a checkmark beside Paisley’s program.
Since Elara was unwilling to hold him a little, then he wouldn’t vote for Merida.
The audience members put their votes in the ballot box.
Ten minutes later, the judges stepped onto the stage to announce the winners.
“…The first–place award goes to Class 1A–Swan Lake.”
Rosalie clapped excitedly and stood up from her seat at once.
She watched as Paisley walked onto the stage as a representative to accept the award.
“Paisley is incredible!”
Rosalie glanced in Elara’s direction, curling her lips in a smile before letting out a cold laugh.
Then, the teacher on stage continued, “The Grand Prize of the gala goes to–Class 1A’s Merida Jones for Spring Awakens!”
Rosalie’s smile quickly froze.
Harold murmured, “Is the Grand Prize better than first place? There were three performances that won first place, but the Grand Prize was only awarded to Merida’s performance.”
Before Harold could finish speaking, Rosalie exploded. “On what grounds did she win the Grand Prize?”
Harold quickly grabbed Rosalie’s sleeve. “Hey, keep your voice down!”
Rosalie’s outburst embarrassed him.

Chapter 400
Finnegan walked back onto the stage, carrying Merida with one arm. His appearance drew a collective gasp from the mothers in the audience.
After setting Merida down, the host said, “Merida, would you like to introduce your dance partner to everyone?”
Facing the audience, Merida showed no sign of stage fright
“The one who performed Spring Awakens with me is my uncle!”
The host chuckled and asked, “Is your uncle married?”
“No,” Finnegan replied flatly.
The host visibly grew happier as a smile bloomed on her face.
“Merida, does that mean your uncle doesn’t have a girlfriend either?”
Finnegan had never gotten used to being the center of attention. Even though he had stepped onto the stage to help Merida win, he had done so purely to support her, remaining in the background as her partner.
He had originally planned to wear a mask during the performance to avoid drawing too much attention. However, after some thought, he decided against it.
