Chapter 60
Harvey let out a cold, dismissive snort. He felt surprisingly light when he got out of bed today. After taking a shower, he walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe.
As soon as he looked up, he saw Niamh leaning against the sliding door, rubbing her sleepy eyes. She stretched lazily like a cat, just enough to reveal the defined lines of her toned waist.
“Harvey, you’re up early.”
Harvey was stunned. The towel he had been using to dry his hair slipped from his fingers and fell to the floor. He didn’t even bother changing his wet slippers before striding into Elara’s bedroom.
He yanked the blanket off the bed, then turned his head, scaming the room as if convinced Elara was hiding somewhere.
With a sharp flick, he pulled open the wardrobe. Inside, rows of high–end custom–made outfits hung neatly.
When Elara left the Fisher family with Merida, she only took one suitcase. Most of the clothes inside weren’t even hers but the ones she had bought for Merida.
Everyone in the Fisher family believed they had treated Elara well over the past seven years. After all, they just had to look at all these high–end custom outfits, luxury bags, and expensive jewelry she had.
But all of it had been purchased under the Fisher family’s name. The items were legally registered under Harvey and Ethel. If Elara had taken anything from here, it would have been considered theft.
Even she herself had been a carefully curated accessory, meant to decorate the Fisher family’s image.
Niamh, watching Harvey’s erratic behavior, raised a brow. “Harvey, what’s wrong?”
Standing in front of the wardrobe, Harvey suddenly turned around and saw Niamh dressed in Elara’s nightgown.
Everything became painfully clear at that moment.
“You slept in Elara’s room last night?”
He was still calling her name in that tone even after the divorce. Niamh rolled her eyes internally at this but kept her tone casual.
“Yeah. You were in so much pain last night–I couldn’t just leave you alone. Since Elara’s room was empty, I stayed there so I could check on you if you needed anything.
The air around Harvey dropped several degrees.
Niamh suddenly realized something and her voice turned dry. “You… You thought Elara came back, didn’t you?”
She pressed further, “Harvey, do you regret divorcing her?
“What nonsense are you spouting?” Harvey denied it immediately. “From now on, sleep in the guest room.”
Niamh huffed. “Am I a guest? I’m one of your bros! You’re divorced from Elara. Why can’t I sleep in her room?”
Harvey’s voice was as cold as ice. “Because I’m going to have it demolished.”
Niamh shrugged. “Fine, then I’ll stay in Dawn’s room when I visit.”
Harvey’s expression softened slightly at the mention of Dawn. Dawn’s room had remained untouched after all these years.

Since Niamh had been Dawn’s closest friend when she was alive, maybe it wouldn’t be a bad thing for her to stay there. If Dawn were watching from above, she might even be happy about it.
By the time Harvey finished changing into his suit and came downstairs, Niamh was already at the dining table, eating breakfast with Beau.
Beau had woken up to find Niamh at home and was overjoyed. “Niamh, are you living with us now?”
Niamh waved him off. “No, no, last night was an exception. I just crashed in the room beside your dad’s.”
Beau thought for a moment. He knew the room next to Harvey’s was Elara’s old bedroom.
He looked up at his father, then turned to Niamh with eager eyes. “I wish you could be my mom!”
dad!”
Niamh burst into laughter. “How many times do I have to tell you? I’d rather be your
Harvey’s voice cut in in a cold and firm manner. “Eat.”
Then, he warned in an equally sharp tone, “You’d better not be late for school again.”
Beau pouted..“I want Niamh to take me to school!”
“You’ll take the family car,” Harvey stated flatly. It wasn’t a discussion. Then, he turned to Niamh. “And you’re not taking him on your motorcycle again.”
Niamh stuck out her tongue playfully and responded cheerfully, “Got it.”
She then winked at Beau, and Beau immediately understood the message. Niamh was going to sneak him onto her bike anyway.
For the past few weeks, she had been dropping him off at school on her motorcycle, and he had never felt cooler.
