Chapter 98
#25 BONUS
So much for the so–called number one female racer in Eucon—Luna was nothing special after all.
Tonight, Niamh was determined to defeat Lama. Tomorrow, she would be the one making headlines!
The first turn was approaching fast.
Then, a sleek black motorcycle shot past Niamh with ease, leaving her in the dust.
Niamh was stunned. How had Luna overtaken her in an instant?
She cranked the throttle, pushing her bike to its limit in an attempt to catch up. But with each sharp turn, between them only widened!
“Holy shit! Luna didn’t even slow down for the corners!!
“Unreal! This is her first time on this track–she didn’t even warm up!‘
“That’s the skill of Eucon’s top female racer! She’s absolutely terrifying!
the gap
Niamh gritted her teeth so hard she thought they might crack. There was no way she could catch up to Elara on her
DWIL
She needed help.
Just then, a plastic water bottle suddenly came flying through the air from the spectator stands, landing directly on the track.
Even a tiny pebble on the road could trigger a disaster at such high speeds. The roar of the motorcycles drowned out the gasps from the crowd–no one had time to react.
Instinctively, everyone assumed the bottle was about to roll right into Elara’s path. If she hit it, she would definitely crash.
Even if it didn’t land directly in her way, it would still force her to swerve or slow down to avoid it. Just ten feet from the bottle, Elara suddenly leaned her bike into a sharp 30–degree tilt.
In one swift motion, she reached down and snatched the water bottle off the ground. The audience collectively
froze.
Then, there was a loud bang! Elara launched the bottle straight into a nearby industrial–sized trash bin without missing a beat.
Moonchaser tore ahead, leaving the stunned crowd in her wake. The silence lasted for half a second before anyone realized what she had done.
“Holy moly!”
“What the hell?”
Some people were so shocked they smacked their foreheads, and their mouths were hanging open wide enough to swallow an egg. Others felt their legs go weak, nearly dropping to their knees in awe.
“Holy mother! What did I just witness?”
“Replay! We need a replay, now!”
The rich young heirs in the crowd shouted, and the control zoom quickly responded, replaying the footage from the high–speed cameras positioned around the track.

“Damn! I don’t even have the words for this all I can say, that was insane!”
“A perfect inclined turn, followed by a god–tier grab and throw!”
“Is this even humanly possible? Luna, my queen! Teach me how to throw a water bottle at high speeds!” The race continued, but no one cared about Niamh anymore Even her closest friends had abandoned her.
They were crowding the edge of the track, jumping up and down as they cheered for Elara. Beau stood beside Harvey, his mouth hanging open in pure astonishment.
ANNA
He stared at the big screen as Luna had completely left Niamh in the dust. The high–speed cameras followed only Luna now as Niamh wasn’t even in the frame.
Beau shivered, snapping back to reality as a tidal wave of cheers erupted from the crowd.
“Luna! Luna!”
Beau joined in, jumping excitedly as he shouted at the top of his lungs. Even his voice turned hoarse. “Luna! Luna!
“Damn it!” Niamh was grinding her molars so hard she thought they might crack.
She couldn’t even see Luna anymore. She wasn’t new to competitive racing–far from it.
She had participated in countless amateur races across Capitol, winning so many trophies that she had felt confident enough to challenge Luna to a duel.
She
never expected that this four–wheeled professional racer could dominate her so effortlessly on a two–wheeler too. Not only was Luna faster, but she even had the spare energy to pull off stunts mid–race.
A dark blur flashed past Niamh. Her pupils dilated beneath her helmet, and her breath caught in her throat.
She had just been lapped!
