As they walked out, Miranda turned back with a smug look in her eyes and mouthed the words,
“I won.”
Maybe in the past, I would have felt angry or upset. But this time, as I watched them leave, I truly didn’t care.
Over the next few days, Ryan kept messaging me. He told me that if I regretted breaking up with him, I could still come back..
I ignored him, treating him like nothing more than a ridiculous jester.
But to my surprise, Ryan didn’t stop. If anything he got worse, pushing even further.
