“Isn’t it?” Christopher asked.
The way he looked at her was as if he had already caught evidence of her infidelity.
But clearly, he was the one who cheated. He was the one who even got another woman pregnant.
She suddenly thought of what he said earlier when she entered the door, then connected it to Nick.
She had to look at him in surprise, “Did you send someone to follow me?”
She couldn’t understand.
She found it unbelievable.
Why would he do this?
Back then, when Nick said it wasn’t paparazzi, she hadn’t thought much of it. She assumed they were following Nick instead.
After all, Nick had just won the Best New Actor award and was about to hold a concert, drawing significant attention. But….…..
She never expected that the person was following her.
“I had someone to follow you? You must think quite highly of yourself.
It just so happens that someone spotted the young mistress of the Dale family entering a cafe with a man and reported it to me.”
So that’s how it was.
Her heart swayed with mixed emotions, but she quickly chose to trust his words.
Yet curiosity drove her to look at him again. “Who was it?”
“Hmm?”
There aren’t many people who know I’m the Dale family’s young mistress.”
In fact, they could be counted on one hand. The few who knew tonight were all with Emily. Who else could it be?
“That’s not something you need to know. What you need to know is that I won’t allow you to move out or resign.
What you need to do is stay here obediently, where I can see you at all times and know where you are.”
“Why?”
Lucy was utterly stunned.
What kind of unreasonable demand was this?
Although they hadn’t gone to the Civil Affairs Court, signing the divorce agreement was essentially the same as being divorced.
“Because this is what the Dale family owes you. I’ve told you before, whatever you want, just ask and I’ll give it to you.”
Lucy looked at the man in front of her, suddenly at a loss for words.

She almost lost her composure and silently pinched her thigh to calm herself down. Fortunately, Christopher’s phone rang at that moment.
He glanced at the screen, then raised his eyes to look at her before answering, “Hello? Why aren’t you asleep yet?”
The tone he used when speaking to Emily was completely different, like a soft breeze.
“Just some things. Go to sleep first, staying up late isn’t good for the baby.”
Even as he talked on the phone, he remained in a cornering posture over her. But the words he said… were full of concern for someone else.
She couldn’t bear to listen anymore. Taking advantage of his distraction, she slipped away directly under his arm.
Christopher hung up the phone and stood there, seemingly lost in thought, letting out a faint sigh.
After Lucy had walked far enough away, she finally turned back and declared, “I’m moving out, and I will reign.”
She remained resolute about this.
Christopher frowned slightly, but then he merely gave a faint smile.
He could hear the determination in her tone, her stubbornness. But even when she was angry or upset, her voice carried a natural softness, making it hard not to listen.
That night, she stayed up late. She needed to find a place to live.
After nearly two hours of searching, she was so exhausted her eyes could barely stay open. Eventually, lying on her bed, tears began to flow uncontrollably.
She suddenly wondered, why was she still looking for a place to live in this unfamiliar city?
She should return to her own home.
She didn’t need to be a burden to the Dale family or to him.
She didn’t need him to owe her anything.
All she wanted now was freedom.
At the Dale’s hotel, in an exclusive private room.
The originally lively atmosphere suddenly quieted down.
“Send them out.” Christopher ordered as he walked in, his expression irritable.
Allen quickly escorted the tall, beautiful women out, leaving the room silent.
“Where are you coming from?” Seeing his displeasure, Allen asked.
After the staff came in to tidy up the room, Christopher sat down.
“Royal Garden,” he replied indifferently, noticing a pack of cigarettes on the table. Leaning forward, he grabbed one and lit it.
“Is it because Emily’s pregnant and doesn’t let you touch her?”
Owen asked, seeing his apparent frustration.
Christopher chuckled mockingly but remained silent.
