“Aurora, as long as you split up with Quinton, you can come back and live with me. I–I can call off my wedding with Jane. Let’s get married instead.”
I interrupted him, having a lump in my throat, “Nathan, my grandmother is dead.”
Nathan was stunned on the other end of the phone. “How could it be…”
I gave a bitter laugh. “She was still defending me in her last second. She stressed that I was not unwanted!”
Nathan’s voice betrayed his anxiety. “No. Aurora, listen to me. I…”
“Nathan, I admit I once had a crush on Quinton, but I truly loved you. Stop bothering me. Since my grandmother’s passing, you have completely ceased to exist in my heart.”

Following the funeral, Quinton took me away from Loseriville and back to our hometown.
I returned to my old house again, but the owner had changed.
It was Quinton.

Only then did I discover that he had bought my house some time ago.
Everything in the house remained the same.
Even the pot that I burned through when Quinton first taught me how to cook was still there.
He held up the pot. “Aurora, come and see your ‘badge of honor.”
For the past six months, he had been living with me in our hometown. After months of
therapy provided by him, I finally managed to come out of the shadows.
Glancing around at the somewhat untidy house, we finally decided to do a thorough cleaning.
This pot was found in the corner.
I rolled my eyes at Quinton. “It’s all your fault for deliberately teaching me the wrong way just to watch me make a fool of myself.”
He didn’t refute. “Well, that way you won’t get worn out from cooking. From now on, I’ll handle the cooking, and you just sit and wait to be served.”
I wasn’t naive. With Quinton’s meticulous care over the past six months, how could I not sense his feelings for me?
“Oh, by the way, while I was cleaning, I found this.”
Quinton pulled out an old diary. The sight of it made me panic. I hastily snatched it and hid it behind my back.
“This is my diary! You didn’t read it, did you?”
I felt a bit nervous.
This diary recorded all the events of my youth. To be precise, it was my secret crush diary. Quinton smiled, his eyes particularly bright.
“So you have a diary too.”
I didn’t hear him. “What?”
Quinton waved his hand. “It’s dusty. Go to the yard.”
Holding this crush diary, I was a bit shy and flustered. I instantly rushed to the swing in the
yard.
While sitting on the swing, I leafed through the diary.
“How strange! I remember I packed this diary and took it with me back then.”
With doubts, I opened the diary.
“I’ve fallen for a girl. Her name is Aurora Murphy.”
I slammed the diary shut, my mind buzzing.
This wasn’t my crush diary. It was Quinton’s!
“Is it interesting?”
Quinton’s voice came from behind me, and he stopped my swing with his hand.
I looked back at him. “I…”
“Someone is here to see
