Chapter 6
Just as Xavier was about to stand up, I quickly grabbed his tie and yanked him toward me.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rachel clench her fists. I let a cold smile play across my lips.
I asked Xavier, “Even though we weren’t in the same class at school, you must know how Rachel bullied me, right? You can try to beg me not to divorce you, but on one condition. I want you to take back all the money you gave her to pay off her debts, and kick her out of here right now.”
Rachel immediately panicked, crying and defending herself, “Xavier, everyone has moments when they’re young and immature, don’t they? Besides, you know I was merely having a bit of fun with Sabrina. If she’s upset, I’ll apologize right now.”

As she spoke, she actually fell to her knees, pleading desperately, “Sabrina, I only have Xavier left. Please don’t take him away from me! Xavier, you know how terrifying those debt collectors are. If you don’t help me, if you take back the money, they might hurt me or worse…”
Xavier furrowed his brow. He stared into my eyes, hesitating for a long time before finally saying, “I’m sorry.”
He was always like this–professing his love for me with words, yet always choosing Rachel when it mattered. He was the epitome of hypocrisy.
Furious, I laughed bitterly, slapped Xavier hard across the face, and spat, “Why were you pretending to be so devoted just now? You don’t need to

apologize. I was just toying with you. Xavier, who you love has nothing to do with me.”

A flash of pain crossed Xavier’s eyes before his expression turned completely cold. He pushed me away firmly.
He walked over to Rachel, took her in his arms, and comforted her tenderly, “It’s okay, don’t be afraid. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have said those things. I only want you, I promise.”
Rachel pounded his shoulders in feigned distress while clinging tightly to his neck, terrified that letting go would mean losing him forever.
Watching her panic–stricken state, a wave of satisfaction washed over me.
On the day Xavier and I divorced, Rachel accompanied us.
She clutched Xavier’s hand tightly, as if terrified I might lure him away from her with just a few words.
When we received our divorce certificate, she visibly relaxed.
While Xavier went to get the car, Rachel seized the opportunity to taunt me
again.
“You got to be his wife for three years while Xavier and I were having issues. Consider that my charity to you. Sabrina, you’ll always be nothing but a pathetic wretch. Just wait and see–I’ll deal with you slowly from now on.”
I suddenly grabbed her hair, making her cry out in pain.

With a smile on my face, I leaned close to her ear and whispered, “Rachel, I have evidence of your murder.”
She froze instantly, all color draining from her face.
Staring at her terrified expression, I continued, “But don’t worry, I’m not as ruthless as you. I won’t kill you, but I’ll make you wish you were dead.”
