Chapter 110
Brynn nodded. Tll have to trouble you then”
“No trouble at all. It’s my duty” Nick finished speaking and was about to take his men and leave.
“Wait a minute, wait a minute” Gary saw what was going on and quickly called out to Nick.

Nick looked at Gary. He didn’t know who Gary was, but since he was Brynn’s assistant. “What can I do for you?” he asked politely.
Gary smiled at Nick, a little embarrassed. “Mr. Marshall, I have no problem with you taking them away, it’s just… we had a bet on this competition.”
After he finished speaking, he looked at George triumphantly. “George, now that the competition is over, shouldn’t you honor the bet and hand over the management rights to your school’s street?
George clenched his teeth, turned his face away, and pretended to have amnesia. “What bet? I don’t remember.”
“You…” Gary’s eyes widened. He didn’t expect George to be so shameless. Nick glanced at Brynn and saw that although she didn’t say anything, she frowned.
He quickly glared at George. “George, honor the bet, George. Hand over the district rights now.” ‘Pissing off the First Lady could cost me my job, he thought.
Seeing Nick siding with Gary again, George was quite upset. ‘Gary’s just a member of the Biopharma Research Alliance, what’s there to be afraid of? he thought.
Seeing George’s disgruntled expression, Nick felt a headache coming on. Afraid that George would cause more trouble, he quickly walked up to him and whispered. “Don’t blow things up
“Why are you so afraid of Gary?” George asked, puzzled. “You’re my own cousin! Why are you siding with an outsider like this,”
“Who said I’m afraid of offending Gary?” Nick retorted, pointing at Brynn. “I’m afraid of Brynn.”
George’s expression grew even more puzzled. ‘Isn’t she just a teacher at Panacea Medical School? What’s there to be afraid of
“You think she’s really just a teacher at Panacea Medical School. Nick was about to be angered to death by George’s ignorance. “She’s the First Lady!”
I was scared to death when I got the call. I almost lost my job, Nick thought.
George was dumbfounded. “The First Lady? I actually offended the First Lady? It’s over, it’s all over! No, wait, I still have a chance to redeem myself, he thought.
George snapped back to his senses and hurriedly nodded at Gary. “Okay. You can have the street management rights of our school. Let’s sign the papers now.”
Seeing that George had finally come to his senses, Nick couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Brynn, who had been observing the whole time, narrowed her eyes slightly.
Something’s off. George would never surrender control so easily–not with his shameless track record. Nick must’ve said something to him. But why would Nick go out of his way to help? Brynn thought.
She vaguely heard Nick and George mention her name. Thinking of this, Brynn walked up to Nick, put on a smile, and said, “Thank you, Mr. Marshall. If you hadn’t arrived in time, I wouldn’t have been able to save this patient.”

Nick felt a little guilty and waved his hands repeatedly. “Please don’t say that. This is all in a day’s work.”
“May I ask why you helped me so much, Mr.
- Mr. Marshall?”

Brynn had a smile on her face as she interrupted Nick, but her eyes were fixed on his face, not missing a single one of his expressions.
