this mess.
Kylie had no idea she was making things worse for herself. She folded her arms, smirking, “Security! Where’s security? Someone get over here and kick these impostors out!”
The security guards looked unsure. They didn’t know what was going on, but they knew they couldn’t afford to offend anyone at this party.
“What are you waiting for? If the president finds out someone’s pretending to be him at this party, you’ll all be in hot water,” Kylie warned.
At her words, the guards started moving toward Dominic.
Dominic’s face turned cold, and he was about to speak when Brynn grabbed his arm. “Kylie, are you nuts? When did my husband ever say he was the president? You’re the one who’s mistaken, right?”
“Besides, the president is wise and magnanimous. He wouldn’t get upset over something so trivial,” Brynn added, raising her chin. “Your accusations just make you look petty, like you’re trying to paint the president as someone who gets angry over nothing.”
Seeing Brynn defend him so fiercely and throw him some compliments, Dominic couldn’t help but chuckle quietly.
The senior officials nearby quickly chimed in, “Exactly! The president is always considerate and wouldn’t get mad over something so small.”
“Ms. Everett is truly more noble and understanding!” another official echoed.
“What do you even know?” Kylie shouted, exasperated. “Brynn’s real parents are just country bumpkins. She has no connection to nobility at all.”
“That’s right!” Randy sneered, glaring at Brynn. “You ungrateful brat! You targeted Kylie at work and slandered her publicly? Kylie’s engaged to Chase. The Johnson family is close to the president. There’s no way he’ll care about Kylie’s slip of the tongue.”
He walked up to Brynn and said in a commanding tone, “Apologize to Kylie right now. Otherwise, when Kylie takes this to the president, both you and your gigolo husband will be in trouble.”
Hearing this, Dominic almost laughed in anger.
The leaders nearby felt a chill down their spines when they saw his barely concealed anger.
Before Dominic could speak, Declan sneered, “Using fake invitations and pretending to have the president’s backing? How funny.”
Randy was taken aback. “Mr. Harper, what are you talking about? Fake invitations?”
Kylie’s heart sank as she heard this. She had a bad feeling about where this was going and tried to interrupt, but Declan didn’t give her a chance.
He sneered again, “I mean, your invitations are fake. You don’t belong here.”
“This can’t be true!” Randy insisted. “Mr. Harper, my invitation came from Mr. Johnson through the Johnson family in Eaglemont. It can’t be fake.”

“No. This can’t be true!” Kylie looked at Declan in disbelief, shaking her head. “Chase and the president are close. He wouldn’t be kicked out. You must be lying…”
“Still in denial?” Declan rolled his eyes. “It’s all over the trending topics. If you don’t believe me, just check your phone.”
Kylie frantically pulled out her phone, and before she could even tap anything, the top headline popped up.
She clicked on it, and sure enough, it was the news about Chase being kicked out by the Johnson family in Eaglemont.
Randy and Maris felt their faces burning with shame.
“Security, please escort these uninvited guests out,” Declan said coldly, looking at the Everetts.
He then raised his voice and announced, “By the way, I forgot to mention that from now on, the Suncrest Group will terminate all cooperation with the Everett Group.”
The crowd erupted in shock. The Suncrest Group was the leading company in Portmare. Declan was essentially declaring war on the Everett Group.
Randy hadn’t expected things to escalate this far. He quickly pleaded, “Mr. Harper, it’s all Chase’s fault. He deceived us. We’ll leave right away. But ending the cooperation is no small matter. Please show some mercy.”
Randy was begging shamelessly, but Declan didn’t even glance at him.
Desperate, Randy turned to Brynn. “Brynn, you were the one who negotiated the cooperation between the Suncrest Group and the Everett Group. Say something!”
Randy knew Declan was doing this for Brynn. After all, the Everett family had raised her. She couldn’t just turn her back on them like this.
Hearing this, Brynn laughed. She slowly stood up and looked at Randy with a smile.
Randy thought she was about to plead for him, but the next second, she said, “Since Mr. Everett wants me to speak, I’ll just make this clear. I’ve already submitted my resignation. From now on, I have nothing to do with the Everett Group.”
