Chapter 98
Josh’s confidence evaporated the moment Brynn told him to prescribe the medication.
After all, theory and practice were two different things.
He had never actually treated a patient or prescribed medicine before.
“I… Josh swallowed nervously. “Miss Everett, maybe you should guide me. I don’t think I can do this.”
Even though Brynn had told him not to treat this like a competition, the stakes were high–who could ignore the prize of controlling an entire street? He couldn’t help but care.
“You really don’t believe in yourself?”
Seeing Josh hesitating, Brynn frowned slightly.
‘His biggest problem wasn’t his low grades, it was his lack of confidence.’
‘His judgment was correct. Why let outside opinions affect him so easily?‘
Josh couldn’t find a response, so Brynn turned to the patient. “Sir, would you trust the doctor treating you right now?”
The patient paused for a moment, then involuntarily glanced over at his son.
He had already heard the diagnosis from across the room. His son needed surgery, and that would cost a lot of money…
His family wasn’t wealthy, and they had already spent a lot on both their medical bills.
He was getting older, and taking traditional medicine probably wouldn’t harm him.
With that thought, the patient nodded at Brynn. “I’m willing to give it a try.”
Brynn smiled and turned back to Josh. “See? Your patient trusts you. What’s there to worry about?”
But Josh still looked uncertain. “But… But what if my treatment plan isn’t good enough? If we lose the competition…”
“What are you afraid of?”
Gary couldn’t hold back any longer. “If we lose, the school loses management of the street, not you personally losing money. What’s there to be scared of?”
Of course, it wasn’t that I am that magnanimous; I mostly just trust Brynn.
If Miss Everett insisted that this kid be the one to prescribe the medication, it meant she had confidence in his abilities‘
But this kid sure was dragging his feet!‘
“Kid, don’t be scared. If anything goes wrong, we’ll take the responsibility,” Mr. Buckman said, noticing that his previous words might have scared Josh, so he softened his tone to reassure him.
“Besides, Miss Everett has already said your diagnosis is fine. What are you still hesitating for? If you don’t trust yourself, do you not trust her?”
Josh bit his lip, thinking that Mr. Buckman’s words made sense.
Seeing that Josh was loosening up, Brynn immediately seized the opportunity.

Chapter 98
“Josh, are you a man or not? It’s just treating a patient. Why are you overthinking it so much
Brynn said sternly, her voice sharp.
Before Josh could even react, Gary jumped in, startled by her sudden harsh words,
‘Well, that was a bit unexpected…
And… Wouldn’t that scare the kid into being even more reluctant to treat the patient??
But in reality, Brynn had already started to understand Josh’s temperament..
Since gentle encouragement wasn’t working, it was time for a little tough love.
“What happened to the courage you had when you yelled at me at the hospital Brynn stared straight into Josh’s eyes. “Don’t make me lose respect for you!”
To her surprise, Josh really did respond to a challenge like that..
After all the encouragement and his hesitation, suddenly, a rush of determination surged through him.
“Fine, I’ll prescribe the medication,” Josh clenched his fists. “I didn’t diagnose it wrong anyway!”
Now that he’d said it out loud, if he hesitated again, he’d truly look like a coward.
He, Josh Blaze was no coward!
