Chapter 4
The next morning, I hadn’t woken up yet when I heard the noisy voices outside.
I dressed and went downstairs, while Scott was being stopped outside.
“What time is it? Ms. Fuller still hasn’t gotten up! How can she act like those rich young ladies and make the family driver wait!”
The nanny, Eve Colt, spat at him, “What’s wrong with you? Are you going to make Ms. Fuller wait for you?”
I walked out and Scott saw me. “Why did you just come out? What time is it? We still have to go pick up Mr. Fuller! We can’t keep him waiting for too long!”
Eve wondered, “Who is Mr. Fuller?”
Scott knew he had misspoken. “It’s too late, Reed is already getting impatient!” he said, and then he came to pull me.
“Stop!” My dad saw this scene, furious.
“Who made you touch my daughter!”
Scott quickly let go. “Chairman, please don’t be angry, I… I was just in a hurry to pick someone up.”
“I paid you a five–figure salary in January to have you exclusively chauffeur my daughter, not to go and pick up any Tom, Dick, or Harry!”
“Mr. Fuller was important to you, right? In that case, the Fuller family won’t keep you anymore!”
“Eve, settle this month’s salary and let him go!”
Scott was terrified. He was used to bullying me, but he didn’t expect it to be so serious this time. He still had gambling debts to pay off.
He knelt down, with snot and tears streaming down his face, “Chairman, I was wrong. Ms. Fuller, please say something. I have been picking you up and dropping you off for a year, and I have put in both effort and hardship, Ms. Fuller!”
“Are you referring to always sending off others first and making me give gifts to please them?”
My father, upon hearing the words, became furious. “Immediately kick him out!”
When Reed and Keira arrived at school, the first class had already ended. Reed angrily rushed towards me.
“Bella, is this the means of revenge you used?”
“What are you referring to?”
“You deliberately didn’t let Scott come to pick us up, so we ran over here! Are you satisfied now?”
Keira followed behind him, panting heavily.
I asked him in confusion, “Why didn’t you take a taxi? It seems like Keira is not even worth 20 dollars to you.”
i knew he didn’t have any money in his pocket because Scott was a gambler. Despite earning five–figure salary every month, he still owed tens of thousands in debt. Most of the gifts I gave to Reed were also sold by him to help our father repay his debts.
The gambler’s father, the seriously ill mother, the unguarded beauty, and the broken him!
Reed’s sense of destiny was at its peak.
Surrounded by my classmates, they all accused me, “Bella, you went too far this time. Reed kindly had the family driver pick you up, how could you do such a thing?”
“Yeah, isn’t this a case of a pigeon occupying a magpie’s nest?”
I slowly turned around and stared at Reed, “Is that what you told them? Your family’s driver?”
The lie was exposed, but Reed remained calm. He glanced at me indifferently and said, “What difference does it make?”
Well done!
Keira’s friends were not idle either, they started to gossip about being the school’s beauty queen.
“What? Bella, you mean to say that your driver is from your own family? Hahaha, your family may have some money, but it’s not at the level of the Fuller family! Just because you have the last name Fuller doesn’t make you a member of the Fuller family, you know?”
“That’s right! Mr. Fuller, there should be limits even when it comes to showing kindness. Just ignore Bella, this kind of ungrateful person!”

“And your disobedient driver at home, fire him immediately! Can’t he figure out what his master wants him to do?”
This remark hit Reed right in the heart, his face turning red and then pale.
I smirked sarcastically.
“You are right, the Fuller family has already fired that disrespectful driver!”
“Bella, you really have no heart. The driver lost his job for you, and you are still here gloating!”
I grinned at him and said, “Did you hear that?”
Reed was about to leave in anger, but he bumped into Kolton Brooks – Reed’s friend – at the door.
He ran in excitedly. “Mr. Fuller! Your dad has come!”
“My dad?”
Reed looked at him with confusion.
“Yeah, Caleb Fuller from the Fuller Group! The new building is completed, and he came to attend the ribbon–cutting ceremony!”
With a loud “bang,” Reed’s backpack fell to the ground.
