At the dining table, the Carlson family was all present, and many were curious about Kylie’s visit.
Kylie was never shy, she always managed to win everyone’s favor in such occasions.
Only Jaelyn just smiled and asked me, “How have you been with Kendrick lately?”
Everyone on the table fell silent, after all, the entire Carlson family relied on Jaelyn, and no one dared to interrupt her when she spoke.
I hadn’t answered yet, but Kylie, familiarly, took over the conversation: “Jaelyn, with you in the Carlson family, how could they dare to be anything but good? Even my old classmates envy them when they see me.”
Jaelyn laughed, but I sensed a sharpness in her smile.
Kylie didn’t think so, but thought she hit the nail on the head and started talking non–stop.
Until the atmosphere gradually became stagnant, she realized that she had lost control.
She closed her mouth.
I elegantly wiped my mouth and took over the conversation, saying, “Jaelyn, Kendrick and I are getting divorced.”
The people at the dining table were all astonished.
Since just now, Kendrick has never looked at me directly. Right now, he furrowed his brows and glanced at me, saying, “Judith, if you want to cause trouble, do it at the right time.”
Jaelyn just sighed.
I ignored the gaze of the men around me and said to myself, “Jaelyn, if possible, as long as you are willing, I will come to see you often.”
It seemed unbearable, she finally spoke, “Judith, have you made up your mind?”
Kendrick on the side was anxious: “Jaelyn!”
I nodded, “I have decided.”
Kylie’s almond–shaped eyes looked worried and concerned.
“Jude, don’t be impulsive. I’ve witnessed Kendrick’s emotions during this period, and he was truly in pain. Besides, it’s common for couples to argue, so you don’t need to file for divorce over a trivial matter.”
“You always want Kendrick to coax you, this time you should also show a little weakness and understand him…”
jaelyn suddenly slammed the table.
“Kendrick! What on earth was she? Is this how you were protecting your marriage with Judith?”
Kylie’s face turned pale.
Kendrick’s face turned pale, he frowned and said, “Jaelyn, Kylie was just being kind.”
“Kind–hearted? Kind–hearted enough to accompany you every day, running around the world? Kind–hearted enough to take the place of your wife and sleep under the same roof as you?”
“You had the kindness to bring your wife to the hospital for an abortion surgery, and yet you still wanted to bring her to the Carlson’s Manor to see me?!”
