Chapter 22
She had once been full of anticipation to be able to be with Samuel and build a new family with him, but at that time, every time she was the first one to be
abandoned by him.
Later, she gave up on him and married Mateo out of spite, to put her grandfather’s mind at ease. She had thought of being a couple with Mateo, treating each other with respect, without any expectations. But Mateo gave her abundant love
Luna’s sign was successful, but what about Samuel’s eternal loss of love?
It seems that his current performance is also equally effective, but Luna doesn’t think he loves her, he seems more like a habit to her.
She was used to chasing after him, making demands on him, without expecting anything in return, and without any complaints
So now she left, but he said he loved her.
Who would believe it?
Luna didn’t finish watching the wedding. She felt nauseous halfway through and left early with Mateo,
She thought it was too crowded at the wedding banquet and felt a bit stuffy, so she thought going our for a walk might help. However, after going out, she ended up vomiting even more severely.
Although she said she was fine, Mateo was worried about her, so he took her to the hospital.
After being transferred from the emergency room to the obstetrics department, Luna and Mateo were once again asked when her last menstrual period was. It was only then that they realized her period was already half a month late.
“Has it ever been this late before?”
The doctor inquired and brought back Luna’s thoughts. She shook her head, although it hadn’t been very accurate before, it hadn’t been delayed for so long either.
To be on the safe side, Luna still went for a check–up. When she received the confirmation of her pregnancy at four weeks, she still felt somewhat unreal
“Mateo, I was actually pregnant?”
Mateo held her face and planted a deep kiss on her lips, laughing so hard that his teeth were not visible.
“Wile, I was going to be a father!”
His sudden kiss caught Luna off guard, and her checks instantly turned red. She quickly pushed Mateo away and exclaimed, “What are you doing? We’re still at the hospital!”
Fortunately, there were many people like obstetricians and gynecologists, and they blended in without attracting attention. With this, no one had the intention to stay in Karham anymore, and immediately bought a plane ticket back to Stratam.
Mateo went upstairs and told Mr. and Mrs. Walker about this message. Luna, on the other hand, went back to her own house first, preparing to tell Sir Miriam about this good news.
As soon as she entered, the room was quiet. Her joyful call received no response. Her heart slapped a beat, and she quickly pushed open the bedroom door, only to see Sir Miriam lying on the ground, unresponsive to her cries.
She trembled as she took out her phone, first dialing 911 and calling for an ambulance, then making a phone call to Mateo.
Grandfather fainted…
With a sobbing voice, the Walker family hurriedly came down when they heard only five words, and they all went to the hospital together when the ambulance arrived.
While waiting outside the emergency room, Mateo held Luna in his arms and let her cry loudly, gently comforting her, “Grandpa will be fine, you still have a baby in your belly, so relax, otherwise when Grandpa wakes up, he will worry about you.”
Luna knew that her current emotions were not suitable for being too excited, but she couldn’t help but lose control of her emotions when she thought about pushing the door open and seeing her grandfather lying motionless on the ground.
Crying, Mr. and Mrs. Walker also felt some guilt. Sir Miriam usually stayed at home alone, and they would usually help take care of her for a while. Who could have imagined that just one day of not seeing her, such a thing would happen.
